I wrote earlier about the fact that if you play a video on CNN's website and then open another tab the video stops till you return to the page. At the time I did not know this but with the Brave browser this does not happen. I started using Brave for other reasons and found this out one day.
That was an update I guess but I am writing here due to something else I do not like about CNN's website. I do not know how many articles you have to read before this happens but at some point the site will read that you have exceeded your daily views and to continue you are required to join the site. I have discovered a way around it without altering your browser but it requires you to delete your cookies and restart the browser. However that will likely mess things up for some sites you may visit regularly. Banks and such tend to not use cookies though. I do not like joining sites so they can track what I do more easily and likely market things to my email address. Sure I can probably opt out but why do this?
I haven't made a post in some time mainly because I have been busy frankly with a new guitar. I had one a long time ago but the resources available now on the Internet is in fact overwhelming. I bought my first one in 1986 when I used pitch pipes for tuning it. Now I have a little rechargeable device with a screen that cost me likely what the pitch pipes did back in the day. Things have changed quite a bit since the year I got out of the Navy. That first guitar cost me $500 and the one I just bought cost me six and a half times as much. I plan to retire in a few years and I need something to do. Could not afford such a guitar back then though. I am taking it much more seriously this time and can devote more time to it. I traveled heavily when I got the first one so I didn't give it much time. Right now I am catching up to what I did back then. The more I progress the more of what I knew back then comes back. Wrote more about this than CNN so I need to change the title.
