I have declared before that is use Arch Linux with a Cinnamon desktop and that I use my script strings for installations. I have always liked the Cinnamon desktop and do not usually complain about any Linux applications. Been very happy with them for years. But with Cinnamon Version 6.2.2 there is an issue I am not particularly fond of. I present the issue in the following images.
Below is version 6.22 after installation before I do what I normally do in that I remove any folders I do not use such as Templates, Public, Music and Videos.
Below is the result of removing those folders.
One of the things I like about Linux distributions in general is the ability to personalize my installations. I do not have the full ability to do this like I usually do and have been doing since when I first started with Cinnamon over eight years ago. This version of Cinnamon does not allow it and I wonder how long before someone corrects this. In the mean time I will add my folders and keep all the ones I do not use. I hope this is not getting like Windows.
